The 2XU brand was launched in Melbourne, Australia in 2005 by former professional triathlete Jamie Hunt. Jamie’s passion for sport and performance led to an obsession with performance fabrics and how they could improve athletic performance.
The name 2XU is pronounced ‘two times you’. The name says it all. Jamie set out to multiply human performance when wearing his apparel. He achieved this by teaming with retail guru Clyde Davenport (founder and past owner of Davenport Industries) and marketing specialist Aidan Clarke.
